Do toys thrown in the trash get recycled?
John S asked:
I tossed a bunch of dirty action figures, stuffed animals, and big plastic toy soldier mountain playset into the garbage. I know the stuffed animals won’t but what about the plastic toys?

I don’t think someone is going to pull them out of the trash. They’re going to the landfill.
not unless someone at the dump sorts them since my husband is in charge of the dump here I can assure you you sort or it gets burned
uhhh trash gets taken to the landfill. They DO sort stuff but that is for incinerators or general dumping.
yes it can be recycled.
Nope, should have givem a bath in the tub ,with some bleach, let them dry then donate them to the salvation army or whatever. I have little kid’s in my neighborhood that have no toy’s except the ones mom buys from The Salvation Army.
The only way is if the trash man saw them and set them off to the side for his kid’s and never made into the truck.
I doubt they would get recycled. The type of plastics that most toys are made of is not recyclable. So, they would have gone to the garbage.
