Stuffed animals and blanket for a two year old?

Carrie asked:

My child is almost two. How many stuffed animals and blankets should she sleep with in her crib? When she turned one I was letting her sleep with a small blanket and one stuffed animal. But now she’s in the phase where she wants to carry around EVERYTHING with her, toys, stuffed animals, blankets, household items LOL. And she wants more stuff in her crib with her. I gave her two blankets and two stuffed toys just now for her nap. Is that safe?

I would choose 1 blanket two stuffed animals and put the stuffed animals on the opposite side of her head(by her feet)

My daughter is 14 months and sleeps with a blanket and 3 stuffed animals!!! She wont go to sleep with out something cuddly. AS long as they don’t have ribbons, bows, buttons or choking hazards on them I think your darling 2 year old will be just fine with 2 cuddly buddies!

I think just one blanket that she likes the most and 2 stuffed animals by her feet if she cry and she wants more stuffed animals u could give them to her and when she sleeps take them away they are not safe when the baby is sleeping.

My son turned two in Feb. and is going through the same stage. He wants ALL his stuffed animals in the crib with him. Personally, I don’t feel it’s harmful, so I pile his stuffies on top of him and his blanky. That makes him very happy and he tends to go to sleep quicker. He usually has about 3-8 stuffed animals in there with him. Two blankets and 2 stuffed toys seems just fine.

My child was about one and a half when she started wanting stuffed animals in her crib. At one piont she slept with 7 or 8 but now at two and a half she sleeps with four or five. She loves it and I don’t see any harm in it.

i have a one year old and she just sleeps with a little blanket. she loves stuffed animals but she refuses to have them in her crib. its funny, like even if shes not sleeping , if we walk by her crib and she notices a stuffed animal is in their, she will start crying like crazy until i take it out. she absolutely refuses to share her crib with ay stuffed animal

Just use one blanket and give her two stuffed animals.
I think i’d be okay.No hazardous stuff on them though.
And of course one by her feet.

i put my daughter down for a nap/sleep with a blanket to cover her up with, her receiving blanket to hold (she cant sleep with out it) and a frog that sings and plays music that i can set for 5 or 10 mins that sings lullaby’s, and her stuff bunny that she cant sleep with out, and a pillow to sleep on, and Ive never had a problem, so whatever your daughter wants to sleep with just as long as shes not berried with all her toys lol. good luck,
