I burned the fur of my stuffed animal in the dryer. help?
kristcella asked:
its a big sheepdog stuffed animal that I had for over 10 years.
obviously its worthless and dirty and smelly, but it has a lot of sentimental value.
so my mom had the genius idea to put it in dryer when I got lice, and now all its fur is frizzed and matted and bunched up and whatever happens to it in the dryer.
I really really want to fix it.
is there like a ‘toy hospital’ or whatever you call it, or some way to fix it at home?
btw, it’s not like taxidermy, its just a stuffed animal from toys r us. xD

Sell it, as is, on E-bay, and go to TRUs and get another one.
Treat it right and soom it’ll be just as dirty and smelly as the old one. Next session with lice, take it to the Vet!
I’m sure there’s other places like this across the states, but having lived in Michigan at one point, a place I can suggest is “The Doll Hospital and Toy Soldier Shop”. I honestly don’t know if their expertise stretches into stuffed animals, but you might want to shoot them off an e-mail just to see:
